What are Therapeutic Yoga Classes
These is not your typical yoga class, as a Yoga Therapist and Thai Massage Therapist I work with clients daily who struggle with pain, discomfort and loss or lack of mobility. We work on releasing tension and pain and then restrengthening and re-patterning the body to support your lifestyle and ability to thrive.
This is top of mind in my class plans. My goal is to provide you a way to support giving your body relief. And how you can support yourself not just in your yoga class but also during your work day and at home.

Yin Yoga for Ease and Compassion
This class is an invitation to slow down and welcome ease and compassion as a contrast to our fast paced hectic lifestyles. We will focus on the inner and outer lines of the body, which is complementary to our predominant forward plane of movement, and also targets the liver and gall bladder meridians, which correspond with the emotional qualities of kindness, compassion, courage and clear decision making.
Yin Yoga is a still and passive practice that focuses on exercising the denser connective tissues of the body. By coming into poses that keep the muscles relatively inactive, gravity and time are skillfully used to allow release in the plastic-like tissue within the joint capsules, the dense connective tissue and bones. Working the body in this way greatly benefits the health of the joints by reducing fixation, maintaining functional mobility, preventing degeneration and increasing hydration.
Restorative Yoga or Self Love and Self Care
Self-care and self-love play a significant role in living a healthy, balanced and fulfilled life. In modern day living we encounter many stressful situations with little outlets for a healthy release. We live in a way that often restricts natural human movement. Tension in the body builds with tension in the mind and the result is often pain, illness and disturbed sleep patterns. Through restorative yoga postures and gentle stretches chronic stress and tension can be released. Mind and body can return to a state of improved health and vitality.
Yin Yoga For a Juicy Dose of Self-Love
Yin yoga is a beautifully delicious practice that helps us to heal both our hearts and minds. It allows us time to sit within ourselves, to just be still, to notice what our body and mind are telling us.
This form of yoga is performed to stretch and target both the deep connective tissues and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to regulate the body’s flow of energy,increase circulation in the joints, and improve flexibility. The primary areas of focus during a practice include the hips, thighs, shoulders and lower spinal area.

Regain strength, flexibility and stamina as you bond with your baby in a supportive and welcoming environment. Tone and lengthen your muscles, strengthen your posture, relax and rejuvenate, relieve tension in the upper body, and safely rebuild core strength. Enjoy special time with your baby, either holding your baby in your arms, leaning against your leg, on your front, sitting in your lap or resting on a blanket..
