I believe that who we align ourselves with matters a lot. It is not just about the benefits I receive as a member, it is about the ethical alignments it provides my clients. Please see below the organizations I have chosen to align with and why.
The Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) was established in 1988 and is the largest holistic health organization across Canada. Today, the NHPC proudly represents over 6,300 holistic health professionals.
NHPC practitioners are recognized for their dedication to client health, high ethical standards, quality training and competency, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
More and more, Canadians are seeking holistic health treatments and are turning to NHPC members. NHPC members offer non-invasive treatments that can minimize stress and create a balance of mind and body.
I chose ICF membership because of their aligned commitment to maintaining and promoting excellence in coaching. ICF expects all members and credentialed coaches to adhere to the elements and principles of ethical conduct: to be competent and integrate ICF Core Competencies effectively in their work.
Registration and accreditation with the Yoga Alliance ® was an easy choice due to my focus on integrity and the Code of Ethics of the Yoga Alliance ®. We are aligned in this goal. Yoga Alliance ® is the largest nonprofit association representing the yoga community. Their mission, to promote and support the integrity and diversity of the teaching of yoga.
I chose accreditation with the Canadian Yoga Alliance ® because of the alliance with their vision and their manifesto. With a foundation in the Yamas and Niyamas. I am focused on serving my clients with integrity and with the filter of what is right for the client.
I chose the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce membership because they are the only collective voice of professional and business people representing the entire community, operated on a not-for-profit basis, by and for its membership. All Chambers work together with municipal government and businesses to advance local economics. The Chamber strives to keep members connected. By organizing seminars, meetings and events that help members become more effective in their daily business.
I chose the Airdrie Women in Business Association membership because of their focus on empowering women. The AWBA is a local non-profit organization with the goal of connecting entrepreneurial women in our community. We are here to promote, inspire, and share opportunities for continued business success in Airdrie.
